The Marshall Guv’nor Plus 2 really needs no introduction. It’s got a hard edged rock sound and can almost emulate the overdrive of a cranked Marshall amp better than any other stock pedal.
The pedal is let down by a lack of high mids and some loss of clarity in the bass.
I mod the Guv’nor so that those shortcomings are gone and at the same time I modify the clipping section to be more dynamic and responsive and more sensitive to the pick.
The mod includes an extra bright blue L.E.D instead of stock red L.E.D and a brand new 9 volt battery.
